My teammates, residents and their families are what make me love working at Bronson Commons.

My Career Path
I've been with Bronson for ten years and with Bronson Commons for nine. I started as a floor nurse at Bronson Battle Creek, then transitioned to a floor position at Bronson Commons. From there, I became a unit coordinator at Bronson Commons and earned my bachelor's degree and board certification in gerontology.
Then I transitioned into the Manager of Nursing role and earned my master's degree in nursing education. I've now been in my current role as Director of Nursing for more than four years.
What I love About Bronson Commons
My teammates, residents and their families are what make me love working at Bronson Commons. My teammates are like family to me. And I love seeing the relationships our residents and their families develop with each other, creating another branch of the Bronson Commons family tree.
What Bronson Positivity Means to Me
I live Bronson positivity by sharing a smile and an enthusiastic "hello, how ya doin!" with everyone I see.
Bronson positivity means always trying to find the good in any situation; always looking for the silver lining. It's hard to make a challenging day or a difficult situation positive—but if we can find the good, it can help to counteract the negative.
Benefits I Value
I have utilized wellness reimbursement to help with vet bills, as well as utilized our pet insurance. Those are great benefits that I really appreciate and value.
I also think that the resources that HelpNet has available are above and beyond what most employers offer their employees.
