His Team needs to be recognized for saving my husband’s life

On 3/16/2023, my husband called me at work saying he did not feel good and he said he was having chest pain. My husband, Troy, is a medical assistant (MA) at Bronson LakeView Family Care – Suite B. He told his coworkers and they grabbed the EKG machine. Everyone pulled together as a team. As they were running the EKG, another coworker was already calling 911. Rebecca Markus, the nurse practitioner that my husband is an MA with, confirmed that he was having a full-blown heart attack. As the ambulance arrived, every single person in that suite needs to be recognized for saving my husband’s life.

He was rushed to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo and was met by a team waiting for him. He was taken to the cath lab where it was confirmed he had a blockage to the back of the heart. The team fixed him up, and he is going to have open heart surgery in the next few weeks.

The quick actions made by my husband’s coworkers saved his life and I truly am thankful for everyone one of them. THANK YOU PAW PAW SUITE B!!!!
