Suzee is truly a gift to Bronson labor & delivery

My husband and I came in June 1st, 2024 for an induction. We were in L&D room 11. We had the pleasure of having Suzee as our nurse.

We hit it off right away with Suzee. She goes above and beyond her duty as a nurse. She properly educated us on the induction process. She made sure that we knew that if we had any questions to ask them at any time, and that communication is key.

Before we started the induction Suzee, the monitor showed that our baby's heart rate had decelerated. Suzee became concerned, just as ours did. Based on my own knowledge, I wasn't comfortable taking the medication for the induction because of the stress of the baby. Suzee listened to me with open and non-judgmental ears about my concerns for my baby's safety. I told her that a c-section wasn't off the table and whatever needed to be done to deliver a healthy baby girl was what I wanted. 

Let's fast forward to my c-section time. Suzee and I communicated on how I was terrified for the procedure. My emotions and anxiety were high. Suzee comforted me by talking me through everything, giving me her hands to hold, also helping me keep my posture and breathing slow and steady for the spinal. We also bonded over Metallica, she suggested we listen to Metallica during the c-section to comfort me. Once my husband joined in the OR, Suzee made sure that he was present and supporting me while she used our phones to document the birth of our first baby. The pictures that she captured are a lifetime memory. She picked out a hat with the thought of my baby's name - Krimson - adding that personalized touch to our birth. She looks really cute in her crimson-colored hat!

Suzee is truly a gift to Bronson L&D. She is beyond loving and caring for her patients and goes the extra mile to make sure that everyone is taken care of. She is amazing at her job and wears the Bronson name with pride and works by the Bronson mission statement to give excellent care to every patient and family.
