Bronson’s vision, mission, and values are something I think anyone would take pride in aligning themselves with.

I have worked for Bronson for a little over 6 years. I began my career as a patient care assistant on the Adult Medical Unit (AMU) and upon graduating nursing school, became a registered nurse on the AMU. After a year, I became the night unit coordinator of AMU, until taking my current position as practice manager at the primary care offices of Galesburg, Richland, and E. Centre in Portage.

I have been so fortunate in the leaders that have impacted my career at Bronson. Not everywhere you go are there so many elite individuals who are highly intelligent and passionate, all wrapped up into an extremely driven person. From my preceptors as a new and young patient care assistant, to my nurse colleagues, to my current fellow primary care practice managers and director…there is always a solid foundation of incredible leaders to support, coach, and guide not just your day-to-day operations, but also positively impact your life and career.

What I love most about my job is the people. I love that everything we do revolves around helping people, rather than a product or frivolous service. There is nothing more important at the end of the day than one’s well-being, and my team and I get to have a direct impact on that for our community, which that is something I hold sacred, and respect dearly.

I am proud to work at Bronson because of the people I get to help, the teams I get to work with, and the impact the organization has in the community. I think people have an inherent drive to be a part of something larger than themselves, working towards a common goal- and Bronson’s vision, mission, and values are something I think anyone would take pride in aligning themselves with.
