Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) and Acute Care Assistants (ACAs) work in the hospital, helping clinical staff provide exceptional care experiences for patients and families. What are we looking for in a PCA/ACA? Most importantly, we want team members who are dedicated to their work, compassionate about others, and want to make a positive impact in the community. Job requirements include:

  • High school degree or GED
  • LPN or CNA certification preferred
  • An interest in or previous experience in the healthcare field

What Does A PCA/ACA Do?

Acute care assistants work at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. Patient care assistants work at Bronson Methodist, LakeView and South Haven Hospitals.

These team members work on hospital units, helping nursing staff and other clinical team members provide care to patients and families. Some job functions include:

  • Participating in patient admission, gathering and tracking patient information
  • Transferring patients to new units
  • Answering call lights and phones to determine patient needs
  • Assisting patients with activities of daily living, like eating, bathing, etc.
  • Supporting the team with basic clerical tasks, including stocking patient rooms, moving equipment, ordering supplies, etc.

South Haven

South Haven is a breath of fresh air for anyone looking to experience the comfort of small town living on the Great Lakes.
