Safe Sitter

Better baby sitters today make better parents tomorrow. This program is designed by a pediatrician. The two-day class teaches 11 to 13 year old boys and girls how to be safe sitters. This program helps baby sitters understand the importance of their role. The program stresses that they are responsible for the life, health, and safety of the children in their care. They will learn about childcare, behavior management, handling medical emergencies, hands-on basic life saving techniques, the business of baby-sitting, safety, security, child development, and age appropriate activities. Participants receive a certificate of completion.
