Please note that this is a tentative class at this point pending COVID rates and guidance from our Bronson team regarding the safety of in-person classes. By registering your child here you are simply expressing an interest in this class, and placement will be given on a first come, first serve basis. Masking will be required, social distancing maintained, and modified CPR will be taught (to avoid breathing into a mannikin). Cost will be $100 for this two-day comprehensive class and payment is required at time of sign-up. If cancelation does occur due to COVID (or other reasons) refunds will be issued promptly.
Better baby sitters today make better parents tomorrow. Designed by a pediatrician, this two-day class teaches students in grades 6-8 (must have completed 5th grade) to be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn life-saving skills such as how to rescue someone who's choking, and helpful information like what to do if there is severe weather. The lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use manikins to practice CPR and choking rescue!
Participants receive a certificate of completion.
Safe Sitter® Course Content:
