Description

Snow, freezing rain and ice. These are some of the conditions that make winter a serious concern for seniors. Simple tasks like walking to the mailbox can lead to serious injury if you slip and fall.  

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, each year in the U.S., one in four seniors fall – which can lead to joint injury, broken bones and even death. Learn preventative measures and tips that can help keep you safe this winter.

Tips to Reduce Winter Falls.

Program presenters: Lori Smith, physician assistant at Bronson Orthopedic Specialists, and Colton Olmer, physical therapist at Bronson Battle Creek. 

Registration and light lunch served at 11:30 a.m.

Program runs from noon to 1 p.m.

The program location has changed to the Bronson Battle Creek Outpatient Center in Conference Rooms E & F, located on the 2nd floor.
