Prepared Childbirth- Battle Creek (one-session weekend)

Masking is now *optional* at Bronson.

In this one-session weekend class you will learn things that will help you during pregnancy, labor, and delivery for vaginal and Cesarean section births, including:

• • Stages and phases of labor
  • How to know when you're in labor
  • Relaxation
  • Breathing patterns
  • Coping skills to relieve discomfort
  • Pain relief both natural and medical
  • Support person's role
  • Postpartum experience
  • And more...

This class should be taken between the 28th and 38th week of pregnancy. Next dates are published, but to see all upcoming dates please click "related events" tab.  We expect that each mom registered will bring a support person with her to class.

Medicaid is accepted and financial aid is available.  If cancelation occurs due to weather, illness, or other reasons refunds will be issued promptly.

Bronson BirthPlace Tours (bronsonhealth.com)

Class will be held in Bronson Battle Creek Outpatient Center at 300 North Avenue, Battle Creek.  Second floor conference room.  You should plan to bring along one support person to class.  This class is an all day, 9am-4pm Saturday class with approximately a 45 min to 1 hour lunch break.  You may bring a lunch or eat at Bronson or a nearby location.  

Please bring 2 pillows and a beach towel or small blanket with you to class and dress in comfortable clothing.  Also, if you have an exercise (birthing) ball or yoga mat, you may wish to bring those items.  There will be floor work in class.
