Profile

As a child, Dr. Abigail Richeson dreamed of becoming a doctor. Today she has achieved that vision thanks in part to the support of her parents who encouraged her every step of the way to pursue her interests. She enjoys the variety of specializing in family medicine because it allows her to help patients of all ages and medical problems. It also provides her with the opportunity to practice what she enjoys most—osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM).

Her personal preventative approach to her own health is one of the main reasons she got into healthcare. “I saw firsthand how eating healthy and exercising, can help you look and feel better,” says Dr. Richeson.

In addition to practicing medicine, she has experience teaching students and residents in a variety of different medical settings and has volunteered to treat collegiate athletes with OMM.

In her free time, she enjoys exploring around Michigan, spending time with her family, reading and yoga.
