My Approach to Care

I approach every patient with a commitment to dignity, autonomy and clear communication. I chose a career in palliative care to honor these values by providing compassionate support and relief from symptoms for patients and their families. While each diagnosis is unique, the goal remains the same: comfort that improves overall quality of life.

Alexis Rumph is a nurse practitioner who chose a career in palliative care out of a deep passion for supporting exceptional quality of life tailored to each patient’s individual needs. She is committed to being a strong patient advocate, prioritizing comfort and compassionate care as patients navigate complex and challenging health conditions.

Her career path has been shaped by years of experience working as a registered nurse with palliative care patients, where she found the greatest fulfillment in providing comfort, symptom relief and reassurance to patients and families during their most vulnerable moments. Alexis values building meaningful relationships with each patient, believing that a strong patient-provider partnership can make a positive difference during life’s most difficult times.

Outside of work, Alexis enjoys traveling, reading and spending quality time with her family.
