My Approach to Care

The most important aspect of medicine is the verbal and non-verbal interaction between the patient and the physician. One of my strengths showing compassion and connecting with the variety of people that come from an array of economic, social and cultural backgrounds. Having a medical condition can be lonely and scary. I am here to be your partner and guide.

Medicine has always been a part of Dr. Iliev’s life and, as a general cardiologist, he serves people who might not otherwise have access to specialized care. Dr. Iliev wants to help people maintain their quality and quantity of life by helping them manage and prevent cardiovascular disease. The ability to help people is what excites him about coming to work each day, as well as the opportunity to guide them through prevention, diagnosis and treatment while caring for them like family. “The personal and professional connections are priceless,” he explains.

From a very young age, Dr. Iliev observed his father, who worked as a doctor. He was inspired by how his father was able to make people feel better and give them hope. The passion he saw in his father gave Dr. Iliev the passion to become a doctor himself.

Dr. Iliev volunteers at his daughter's daycare, church and community health screenings. In his free time, Dr. Iliev enjoys camping with his family, traveling, picking seasonal fruits with his kids, playing soccer, weightlifting and reading.
