I treat every child and family in a manner that provides quality care while adapting to their individual needs. I want parents/caregivers to feel like a team and work with me to meet their child’s goals.

Cathleen always knew she wanted to work with children and had an interest in sign language. She learned about speech-language pathology in her communication disorders class during her first semester of college. This encouraged her to pursue speech-language pathology.   

She credits her mother as the biggest influence in her career choice, an elementary school teacher and also interpreted for the deaf population at their church. Cathleen’s mom always had a desire to help others and Cathleen feels she has the same trait. She enjoys coming to work and seeing the progress that her patients make and the impact she has in building better relationships and bonds with children and their families. 

Cathleen has a passion for working with children with childhood apraxia of speech. She has taken several continuing education courses to expand her knowledge and treatment strategies for working with these children.  

Outside of work, Cathleen frequently donates blood at various local blood drives. She also volunteers at local walks and events like 5ks supporting autism awareness, Stop Soldier Suicide, March for Babies and various other charities and foundations. She enjoys exercising, kickboxing classes, hiking outdoors, circuit training and weightlifting.
