Profile

Dr. Cabatu chose Orthopedic Sports Medicine because of his passion for helping athletes recover from injury and helping them to return stronger, smarter and more confident than before. From high school competitors to weekend warriors and active adults who love golf or pickleball, he values the teamwork and accountability it takes to get people safely back to performing at their best.

He credits his mentors and the surgeons who trained him as his biggest influences. They showed that technical excellence and genuine compassion should never be separated. Watching them care for their patients with integrity, humility and precision shaped not only how he operates in the operating room, but how he connects with people when it matters most.

What excites him most each day is helping people return to the activities that give their lives meaning — whether that’s an athlete stepping back onto the field or an active adult getting back to the golf course. Seeing patients regain their strength, confidence and joy in movement is what makes his work incredibly rewarding.

Dr. Cabatu actively participates in activities that share his love of medicine and sports, including providing medical coverage at local sporting events and supporting community outreach programs. These opportunities allow him to educate athletes and active adults on injury prevention and help them stay safe while enjoying the activities they love.

In his free time, he enjoys exploring the beauty of our National Parks, spending time outdoors and maintaining an active lifestyle. He believes that the commitment he encourages in his patients — to both physical and mental well-being — is one that he strives to uphold in his own life as well.
