Profile

Courtney chose a career as a nurse practitioner because it gave her a chance to assist patients in preventing and managing illness and disease. She developed a passion for gastroenterology while working in an endoscopy lab. Courtney also has special interests in hepatology and nutritional health.

Courtney credits a 10th grade teacher, Ms. Crawford, for believing in her, challenging her to think outside the box and helping her to envision the future she is living today. Ms. Crawford encouraged Courtney to continue her education and to never stop learning.

Courtney is motivated each day by the opportunity to help improve the lives of her patients. She enjoys educating both patients and families on how to care for themselves by making better, more informed choices. She tries to help her patients feel comfortable and share a smile or laugh with them when possible.

In her free time, Courtney volunteers at local food pantries and enjoys reading, hiking, backpacking, kayaking, traveling, yoga and time with family and friends. She also enjoys cooking and eating good food.

This survey is used by hospitals and medical practices across the country and was developed by Press Ganey Associates. Surveys are sent to randomly selected Bronson patients after they have had an appointment with a Bronson physician in an outpatient practice setting.

The comments and star ratings you see here reflect the views and opinions of patients who have completed and returned their surveys. Press Ganey independently compiles the data and forwards it to Bronson to be posted.
