Profile

Cristy chose her career field after working alongside a physician assistant (PA) in Iraq. She had a deep base of knowledge, was very approachable and had a practical approach to medicine. Upon returning from deployment, Cristy began the journey to becoming a PA, focusing on surgical subspecialties. The opportunity to work in pediatric surgery combines her love for children and surgery. Pediatric surgery is a good fit for Cristy because she enjoys the variety and new challenges each day brings. She has a special interest in congenital anomalies and minimally invasive surgery. When not working, Cristy enjoys time with her husband and son. She likes crafting, woodworking, boating, fishing and traveling. She also spends time as a volunteer for food drives, adopt-a-family, and helping veteran organizations.
