Dr. David Wong chose a career in medicine to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. As a hospitalist, he is drawn to the variety and complexity of patient care and values the opportunity to guide patients through every stage of their hospital stay, from admission to discharge.

His parents have been the most influential figures in his life, instilling in him the values of integrity, service, honesty and compassion – principles that continue to shape his approach to medicine and daily interactions. What excites Dr. Wong most about his work are the meaningful connections he forms with both patients and colleagues.

In addition to patient care, Dr. Wong has special interests in clinical informatics, the integration of medicine and technology, quality improvement and medical education. He also dedicates time to teaching and mentoring medical and premedical students.

Outside of work, Dr. Wong enjoys exploring southwest Michigan’s towns and parks, discovering new restaurants with friends and family, playing tennis and running.
