My Approach to Care

Working in pulmonary and critical care medicine is a great privilege that I do not take lightly. Patients allow me into their lives, and it is my job to help them. This is why I strive to provide the most up to date and evidence based care to every person.

Pulmonary and critical care medicine is a broad field that fit perfectly into Dr. Smith’s interests. He enjoys the fast paced and high stakes style of critical care medicine, but also loves the challenge of providing detailed and nuanced care in pulmonary medicine. He tries to use his skills to help people feel better—these fields allow him to do just that. Dr. Smith feels fortunate to work in fields that allow him to make a major difference in people’s lives over the course of just one day; a field where can see a person that is short of breath in the morning breathing easier by the afternoon.

 

Dr. Smith says that his parents have been the biggest influence in his life. They instilled a strong work ethic from an early age, and this allowed him to strive in the field of medicine. Dr. Smith has mentored kids in a variety of programs, teaching science and medicine to students. He also participates in vaccine drives. In his free time, he enjoys reading, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family.
