Profile

Athletic training represents the ultimate form of servant leadership for Erin. Much of the work happens behind the scenes and outside the spotlight, yet it plays a vital role in the success of both athletes and teams. The profession allows her to remain part of a competitive, team‑focused environment while seamlessly combining her passions for helping others, sports, and medicine.

Faith is central to what drives her to serve and ultimately led Erin to athletic training. The opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ through her profession is one of the greatest honors of her work.

No two days are the same in athletic training, which keeps every aspect of the role engaging and challenging. The variety of responsibilities allows Erin to continually sharpen her skill set, with acute care being her favorite area of practice. Equally meaningful is the ability to build strong rapport and lasting relationships with patients. Athletic trainers are unique within healthcare, as they often work with patients on a near‑daily basis and support them through every stage of the recovery process. This continuity fosters trust—something she values deeply.

Outside of work, Erin’s passion remains sports. Supporting her hometown Pittsburgh teams is both a favorite pastime and a natural extension of her career.
