Jennifer “Jenny” Opdycke, PA-C, became a physician because she had always wanted to serve people in a meaningful way by utilizing a body-mind-spirit approach. She enjoys building deeper relationships with patients over time, which is why she decided to pursue internal medicine. Jenny’s special interests include meditation, mindfulness and educating people on the importance diets play in their health.
Jenny attributes her mother as someone who has been a big influencer in her life. She taught Jenny the importance of trusting her instincts and creating a balanced approach by integrating that with her knowledge, education and patients’ needs.
What gets Jenny excited to come to work every day is the fact that each is different from the previous. Her job provides her with a variety of challenges that allow her to connect with patients and “read between the lines.”
During her free time, Jenny volunteers at Gryphon Place and serves on a variety of internal Bronson committees such as the crisis intervention team and the Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team. She also loves spending time with her twin daughters. Additionally, Jenny enjoys yoga, cooking, running and hiking with her Great Pyrenees.
