My Approach to Care

One of the best parts of this job is when we can educate the patients and their families on how we go about finding and solving their problems. The stress of illness or injuries can be very disorienting, and they can feel overwhelmed by the complexity of it all. Being a part of a team that can effectively treat a sick patient is immensely gratifying, but it is especially rewarding when we can summarize and break down how we meet their goals. Bridging those concepts and making those connections is what allows us to share a common purpose.

John W. Hendrix, also known as J.W., has always had a fascination with science and helping people. As he explored a variety of nursing specialties, he realized just how much he enjoys and is fulfilled by working in acute care situations.

J.W. came to Bronson 16 years ago as a new grad registered nurse (RN) and was recruited into the emergency department (ER). "Bronson has been very good to me in all the years since, and I was thrilled to be able to continue with this company." J.W. says that his grandparents remain the most formative influence, in that they showed him an example of what a life of hard work yields. He enjoys coming to work each day to see his team and solve whatever problem the day has to offer.

In his free time, John volunteers at Boy Scout events. He enjoys camping, hiking and spending time year round by his my backyard firepit. He also spends time reading about history, science, sailing and religion. This job and this company are a tremendous privilege and I am looking forward to transitioning into this role.
