Profile

Dr. Smart’s biggest inspirations are his parents who have encouraged him to work hard and go the extra mile when providing care for patients. They named him after Keith Smart, who was remembered for hitting the game winning shot in the 1987 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament finals. His name represents the ability to perform at a top level while under pressure when teammates are depending on you. He strives to match this sentiment when caring for patients and looks forward to meeting patients and their unique stories.

Dr. Smart completed his residency and internship at the North Shore University Health System in Evanston, Ill. From 2016 to 2018, he received three Service Value Awards for exceptional patient care and customer service by North Shore University Health System. Dr. Smart is excited to continue to deliver exceptional care by providing ease and comfort for patients in the hospital setting.

Dr. Smart enjoys spending time with friends and family at lakes and beaches. He also enjoys exploring the outdoors while hiking, running and swimming.
