Profile

Ken chose a career in speech-language pathology to help others. His college instructors noticed he interacted well with children and encouraged him to consider pediatrics. As he began to practice, Ken felt that he was missing something when working with children with lisps and tongue thrusts. This led Ken on a journey of training and studying to become a Certified Orofacial Myologist ®. Ken specializes in orofacial myofunctional therapy. This includes correcting oral rest posture, remediating tongue thrust swallow and eliminating oral habits such as thumb sucking and nail-biting.

In his spare time, he volunteers as an usher at the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre. He is active in the local theatre as a performer, director and theatre-goer. He also enjoys CrossFit and traveling.
