Profile

Lauren chose to specialize in pelvic health physical therapy because she is passionate about helping women regain their confidence. She believes that pelvic health dysfunctions like urinary incontinence, urgency, frequency and pelvic pain should not be normalized and women should seek treatment from a professional.

Lauren loves coming to work each day because she has the potential to change the lives of her patients. She strives to provide them with the skills and tools necessary to heal, manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life.

Lauren credits her high school swim coach, Jim Schaffer, as the most influential person in her life. He taught Lauren the importance of hard work, dedication and integrity. As a physical therapist, a good portion of Lauren’s job is coaching people and Jim’s example taught her how to be great at listening to people and pushing them past their belief barriers.

In Lauren’s spare time, she loves to spend time with her husband and two boys, Conrad and Lincoln. Their favorite family activities include playing outside, building forts, creating train tracks and racing cars. She also loves to be active, including hiking, running, biking, swimming and working out. Her favorite kid-free activity is lounging on the lake and reading a good book.

Lauren’s favorite catchphrases are “Just because it is common, doesn’t mean it is normal,” “Give yourself grace! You’ve never done this before,” and “Gently exhale like you are blowing out a birthday candle, but don’t spit on the cake.”
