My Approach to Care

I believe that my role as a physician is to help the patient make the right decision for them. We will review what the pertinent labs and imaging studies and talk about the options available and the risks/benefits of each option. Once the patient has a better understanding of what is going on, they tend to opt for very reasonable treatment options and are more comfortable with their care.

Dr. Johnson became interested in urology because of the large spectrum of disease processes that he can treat and the real opportunity that exists to affect real change in someone's life in a relatively short period of time.

He finds the healthy mix of predictability and unpredictability in every day as a urologist to be very interesting. It forces him to be flexible and think on his toes. It offers a personal challenge that forces him to be better at what he does each day.

Dr. Johnson volunteers for Independence Academy in Indianapolis and enjoys free time with his wife and kids as well as exercise, reading, painting, playing with his dogs and golfing (poorly).

He has a special interest in robotic surgery.
