Matthew has always enjoyed the mechanics of the human body and enjoys the opportunity to problem solve to implement both immediate and long-lasting improvements in patient care. He gets excited to help patients restore mobility and make a tangible difference in reducing their pain and providing a lasting impact in their lives.

Matthew is thankful to be a part of the orthopedic team, working alongside some of the best orthopedic surgeons, nurses, physical therapists and many other healthcare professionals. He has special interests in orthopedic trauma as well as the latest surgical options for total joint replacement.

He has also had the opportunity to DJ the Night to Shine for West Michigan for the last few years. The night is centered around showing people with special needs God’s love as the community comes together to celebrate them.

Matthew credits his family as a driving force in his life. He feels blessed to be married with three amazing kids. Having been fortunate to be able to swim in college on a scholarship, he continues his love of the water – enjoying every opportunity to be in the water whether it be a pool or a lake.
