He also feels fortunate to be practicing in a surgical subspecialty that continues to offer ever-changing technological advances.

Dr. Sweeney completed his fellowship in urology at the University of California Los Angeles and residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Sweeney credits his parents for helping to mold his sense of responsibility, morality and caring and his wife for continuing to keep him centered. He and his wife have four children. Dr. Sweeney enjoys golf, fishing, cross-country and downhill skiing and spending time with his family. In fact, he joined his church choir just to spend time with his wife, an excellent singer, doing what she enjoys most.
