My Approach to Care

I use a team approach with my patients. I meet the children and their families where they are and get to know them so that we can work together to meet functional goals that will maximize their child’s ability to participate in daily activities.

Stephanie chose to become a physical therapist after her experience as a volunteer camp counselor and therapy aide at Bay Cliff Health Camp in Michigan’s upper peninsula. This was a special camp that provided physical, occupational and speech therapy services to children in need throughout their summer program. She enjoyed working with the children and their physical therapists as they helped children achieve all of their mobility goals and maximize their ability to participate in camp life. This experience led to her decision to return to school and become a physical therapist to work with children. Stephanie has a special interest in helping children with neuromuscular disorders.  

She enjoys coming to work each day because of the opportunity to help children learn new skills and reach their goals. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling and reading.
