Profile

Susan chose a career in physical therapy because of her lifelong interest in movement and fitness. With a background in sports and athletics, she gained early experience as a student athletic trainer before pursuing PT school. Throughout her career, she has primarily worked in outpatient orthopedics, where she enjoys providing one-on-one care and creating personalized treatment plans for her patients.

Her special interests include knee rehabilitation, foot and ankle therapy, soft tissue mobilization, the Graston Technique and Mulligan mobilization with movement.

Susan's passion for biomechanics and muscle reeducation was sparked years ago when she watched The Other Side of the Mountain, a film about relearning to walk after a ski injury. Inspired by the idea of helping people regain movement, she began exploring rehabilitation careers and found her calling in physical therapy.

Outside of work, Susan is an endurance swimmer and a fledgling triathlete. She also loves spending time with her grandchildren and staying active through swimming, biking and running.
