My Approach to Care

As a lifetime member of the neighboring communities of Otsego, I have deep passions for providing the best healthcare for the athletes at Otsego High School and in West Michigan. Building relationships with athletes, coaches, administration, along with seeing the athletes become successful on and off the field/court brings me great joy. From injury to return to play and everything in between, I love to help each athlete navigate their healthcare journey.

Profile

Taylor did not have an athletic trainer in high school. She became intrigued with the profession when she sprained her ankle during a basketball game her freshman year. There was an athletic trainer at that game that took care of her and her injury. After taking a couple introductory courses in college, she fell in love with the profession. Athletic training is the perfect mix of sports and healthcare, two of her greatest passions.

She considers her parents as the biggest influences in her life. The hard work and life lessons they taught her have transformed her into who she is today. They also supported her in her dreams and aspirations, both in life and in the sports she played. Neither of them worked in the healthcare field, but they showed her the value of taking pride and joy into caring for others.

Taylor gets most excited each day by the chance to work with her athletes. Every day is always different.

In her free time, Taylor enjoys spending time with her family, her husband Tyler and her son Parker. Not to be forgotten is their dog Remi, who is ready and able to fetch a ball with her for hours every day. Taylor also loves to camp and spend time at their cottage up north on Big Star Lake.

Fun fact, Taylor was on the GVSU Track and Field team as a pole vaulter!
