My Approach to Care

I enjoy learning about my individual patients and their specific health goals, and then finding ways to incorporate proven medical sciences into their lifestyle to help them reach their goals and live the highest quality life.

Teresa (Tessa) has always been passionate about helping others. Right after high school, she started working as a bedside nurse. After deciding that she wanted to care for entire families, she went back to school to get her degree to become a family nurse practitioner. She believes that by helping entire families, not just individuals, she is able to provide the best health results and make a positive impact on community health.  She is also an ally and advocate for LGBTQIA community members and has been seeking out continuing education regarding care for those folks in an effort to make sure everyone in the community can feel they can access healthcare in a safe environment.  Tessa feels strongly that mental health and physical health are equally important and strives to care for the entire person.  She also tries to keep up to date on the current standards of care based on evidence. 

When she isn't working, she is reading, crocheting, visiting her adult children and enjoying spending time with her pets.
