How to Use Bronson MyChart Video Visit and Zoom on a Smartphone, Tablet or Computer

Tips for a Great Video Visit

  1. Have a strong Wi-Fi connection: If you don’t, move to a different location to get a stronger connection.
  2. You need a camera, microphone and speakers: These can be built in or an external camera plugin and headphones.
  3. Fully charge your device: You should not be in power saving mode or have low battery.

Before Your First Video Visit

  1. Download Zoom Cloud Meeting mobile app on your smartphone or tablet. Do not set up a Zoom account.
    Get the Zoom iOS app. Get the Zoom Android app.
  2. On the home screen of your smartphone, go to Settings. Scroll to the bottom and select Zoom. Turn on microphone and camera.

  3. In your web browser, go to zoom.us/test. Join a test meeting and make sure your device works with Zoom.

  4. Download the Bronson MyChart mobile app on your smartphone or tablet.

Before Every Video Visit

  1. Log in to your Bronson MyChart account.
  2. eCheck-In: Before your appointment, log in to your Bronson MyChart account and click on Appointments.

  3. Complete your eCheck-in. You will verify all of your health and insurance information before your appointment – this must be done before you can start your video visit. You can do this up to seven days before your video visit.

On the Day of Your Video Visit

You can connect to your video visit up to 30 minutes before your appointment:

  1. Log in to your Bronson MyChart mobile app and click on Appointments.
  2. Select your video visit and click on Begin Visit. You will be redirected to the Zoom app.

  3. You are connected when you see Waiting for the host to start this meeting and/or a black screen (this means the provider is connecting to your appointment).

  4. To start the video visit, you must click on Call using Internet Audio and Join with Video. Note: If you do not select Call using Internet Audio, you will need to click on the Join Audio button after the video starts.

Before Your First Video Visit


Take these steps to get ready for your first video visit:

  1. Download and install Zoom Client for Meetings. Do not set up a Zoom account.
  2. Go to zoom.us/test to join a test meeting and make sure your computer is set up correctly.

Before Every Video Visit

Take these steps to get ready before every video visit:

  1. Log in to your Bronson MyChart account.
  2. eCheck-In: Before your appointment, log in to your Bronson MyChart account and click on the Visits icon. Then click on Appointments and Visits. Complete your eCheck-in. You will verify all of your health and insurance information before your appointment – this must be done before you can start your video visit. You can do this up to seven days before your video visit.

On the Day of Your Video Visit

    • A screen that says, “Please wait for the host to start this meeting.”
    • A black screen (this means the provider is connecting to your visit).

  4. Click Join with Computer Audio and join the video visit.
    Note: If you do not click the Join with Computer Audio button, you will need to click the Join Audio button after joining the visit.

A Note About Security

Bronson MyChart is a secure portal that uses Zoom for scheduled patient video visits. Enhanced security measures include encryption, meeting IDs and secure configurations to ensure your video visit is private and secure. Only you and your provider are admitted to your visit. Bronson’s Information Security team regularly monitors Zoom for security concerns.
