Prescriptions - Bronson Healthcare

Prescriptions

Prescriptions Overview

We will send your prescriptions to your pharmacy electronically. Controlled narcotic substances and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD or ADD) medicine still need a paper prescription. This can either be sent to you in the mail or you can pick up from our office. We can also give you a list of your medicine, including how much your child needs to take and other important information. You will have this list for your own records or to share with other doctors. If you use a mail order pharmacy, we will mail the prescription to you since we cannot fax the prescription to the mail order pharmacy.

Bring the actual medicine bottles with you when you come to the office. If you don’t bring the medicine, bring a list of all the medicine your child is taking with you. Be sure and ask for refill prescriptions while you are at the office so your child does not run out of medicine. If you call later for refills, it will take at least 24 hours to get the prescription.

We do not send prescriptions for new medicine, antibiotics or pain medicine without an office visit. We require an office visit before prescribing these medicines.
