Group Exercise Class Descriptions
Getting a quick, efficient and safe workout can be easier than you think! Our team of fitness experts are ready to lead you through a perfectly planned workout in under an hour. Whether you’re looking for a low-impact class to improve flexibility and range of motion or a high-energy class to get your heart pumping, we’ve got classes to fit your unique needs. These classes are free to members. Pre-registration is not required. Class options include:
Incorporate light cardiovascular exercise for the heart, muscular strength and conditioning for healthy bones, and balance and flexibility training to round out a total-body workout.
- Ab Lab
This 25-minute class will target your core muscles with stabilization and strength training exercises. Ab Lab makes a great addition to any workout or can stand alone for a quick and effective workout to trim and tone your midsection.
- Ashtanga Yoga
A more intense form of yoga, Ashtanga Yoga is designed to heat the body and remove impurities from within, while increasing strength and flexibility. During the workout, you’ll move through a set of postures while focusing on breath control.
- Barre Pilates
Incorporating the basic principles of Pilates, this class consists of a warm up, upper body weight training moves, lower body Barre exercises and ab work.
- Beginning Ashtanga
An introduction to Ashtanga Yoga, this is a great class for those interested in learning a sequence of yoga postures but with little or no experience.
- Cardio Mix
Rotate between cardio exercises and resistance challenges for a total body workout.
- Core Cardio
Ab-Lab meets high intensity interval training (HIIT). This combo class will not only fly by, but torch calories as you shape and tone your mid-section.
- Drums Alive!
Fitness, music and rhythm all wrapped up in one engaging class! Here, you’ll use rhythm as the source of inspiration and discover a new fitness experience.
- Kick Express
Kick, jab, hit and block! This fast-paced, high-energy cardiovascular class features easy to follow marital arts skills.
Designed to improve flexibility, posture, balance and coordination, Pilates focuses on strengthening the body’s core through a series of low-impact exercises.
- Stretch & Tone
Focus on improving strength and flexibility while toning your entire body. This class promotes improved physical function, mobility, athleticism and posture.
- Vinyasa Flow Yoga
A synchronized series of flowing movements with your breath. Emphasis is placed on breathing and transitioning in and out of the postures. This class is suitable for all levels.
Focused on improving flexibility for injury prevention, this yoga class is perfect for athletes as well as yoga enthusiasts of all levels.
This class emphasizes breathing, concentration, flexibility and toning. Learn and practice a series of postures from relaxing and restorative to strong poses that all build strength and improve balance. This class is suitable for all levels.
- Yoga Basics
Ideal for those new to yoga or seeking a gentle practice, this class will use a variety of props, including chairs, stability balls, the wall, straps and blocks to support the body while you engage your muscles and relax your mind.
This high-energy, dance-inspired class features unique Latin-style moves. Based on the principle that workouts should be fun and easy to do, Zumba is not only great for the body but also benefits the mind.

To learn more about group exercise classes or to find the perfect class for you, join us on the third Wednesday of every month for Group Exercise Orientation. Orientation is held in a Q&A format from 4:30 to 5 p.m. and is open to both members and non-members.
