Group Fitness Programs

  • Abs, Hips, Thighs & More
    Mondays and Wednesdays, 8:15 to 8:45 a.m.
    Your posture, how you carry yourself and how you "stand tall" is all about your abs, hips and thighs. 
    Session options: February 5-28 or March 7-April 2
    Cost: members $48, non-members $64
  • Advanced Bootcamp
    Mondays and Wednesdays, noon to 12:30 p.m. or 6 to 6:30 p.m.
    Get your heart pumping! Cardio and resistance training that includes free weights, TRX suspension training, interval training, and body weight exercises.
    Session options: February 5-28 or March 5-28
    Cost: members $48, non-members $64
  • Armed & Dangerous
    Mondays and Wednesdays, 9 to 9:30 a.m.
    Yes, you can have those sculpted arms you’ve always dreamed of. This class is upper body training - at its very best. 
    Session options: February 5-28 or March 7-April 2
    Cost: members $48, non-members $64
  • Chair Yoga
    Fridays, 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.
    Modified yoga for people who cannot easily get up and down from the floor and who need a little extra stability. 
    Session options: February 2-23 or March 2-23
    Cost: members $32, non-members $40
  • Circuit Training
    Tuesdays and Thursdays, noon to 12:30 p.m. or 6 to 6:30 p.m.
    An intermediate level program sure to tone and strengthen your whole body. Free weights and resistance bands will be used. 
    Session options: February 1-27 or March 6-29
    Cost: members $48, non-members $64
  • Fun Fit Friday
    Fridays, 9 to 9:30 a.m.
    Start your weekend off on the right foot! Each class will feature different workouts, all designed to increase your heart rate, burn calories and build muscle. 
    Session options: February 9-23 or March 9-30
    Cost: members $24, non-members $32
  • Total Body Circuit
    Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 to 10:45 a.m.
    Build and strengthen muscles you didn’t know you had. This class is for all levels - everyone is welcome to enroll. 
    Session options: January 30-February 22 or March 8-April Cost: members $64, non-members $80

Wellness Coaching, Workshops and Info Sessions

Registration is required for wellness coaching, workshops and programs listed below. Unless otherwise noted, programs listed below are free-of-charge. Call Kelly or Sarah at (269) 639-2949 for details or to reserve a space.

  • Mission Slim-Possible
    Ongoing now through March 4
    On a mission to lose weight? This challenge is designed to help you stay focused on your healthy New Year’s goal. Three program options allow participants to work on their own or with a personal trainer, all incorporating initial and final weigh-ins to track progress. This program, open to members, does have a fee to participate. 
    • Mission 1: Go Solo
      A self-driven mission so you can go at your own pace. Includes initial and final weigh ins. $35
    • Mission 2: Melt Down
      In addition to initial and final weigh-ins, work with a personal trainer for three 30-minute sessions, attend one nutrition education workshop, and sample one small group training class. $75
    • Mission 3: Ready or Not
      In addition to initial and final weigh-ins, work with a personal trainer for five 30-minute sessions, attend two nutrition education workshop, and sample two small group training class. $125
  • Wellness Coaching for Change
    Tuesdays, January 23 to February 27, 6 to 7 p.m.

    Need some direction in planning your goals? Interested in a support group to keep you accountable? Join certified health coach Ken Wood to learn ways to overcome barriers to reaching your goals. This is a classroom-style class that includes weekly discussions and outcome based activities. Cost: members $64, non-members $80

  • Golf Fit: Info Session
    Tuesday, March 13, 6 to 7 p.m.
    Would you like to improve your golf game? Increase your strength, flexibility and balance to avoid injuries and improve your golf scores.

Nutrition and Healthy Living Programs

Nutrition and healthy living programs are led by our team of nutrition educators. In these classroom-style programs, participants learn tips and tricks to eating and feeling better. Registration is required. 

  • 10 Tips for Weight Loss
    Tuesday, February 13, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
    So you want to lose weight? Learn ten research-based must-do healthy eating habits that will help get you one step closer to reaching your healthy body goals.
    Cost: $10 members, $15 non-members, free to Mission Slim-Possible participants
  • Build Those Bones
    Thursday, February 15, 9 to 10 a.m.
    Getting your recommended daily dose of vitamins can help protect your bone health. So can staying away from foods that may rob your body of these nutrients. Learn how to eat for better bone health and osteoporosis prevention.
  • Go Further with Food
    Thursday, March 8, 9 to 10 a.m.
    Come celebrate National Nutrition Month! Enjoy a breakfast parfait while you learn about popular diet and health topics as well as upcoming nutrition programs and services offered at Bronson Wellness Center.
  • Fat is Back! (Well, sort of)
    Thursday, March 29, 9 to 10 a.m.
    Learn the difference between good and bad fats, and how much you should be including in your diet to stay healthy and avoid weight gain.

Eat Healthy, Be Active

  • Do you want to learn how to stretch your food dollar and plan healthy meals for you and your family?
  • Would you like to learn how to prepare and sample creative and nutritious new dishes?
  • Do you want to learn and practice how to be active in ways that YOU enjoy?

Eat Healthy, Be Active is a six-session program that will help you get healthier. We offer a daytime or an evening session every month. The program is FREE and three of the six times class meets, participants get to take home free groceries to prepare what they sampled in class. This class is for adults over age 18. We provide free child care. Class participants who are on Medicaid or who have a Michigan Bridge Card (SNAP) are accepted into the class first. Healthy Cooking Classes

Healthy cooking demonstrations are held monthly in our onsite test kitchen. Participants watch our team of nutrition educators prepare a healthy meal. Following class, all participants have the opportunity to taste the food. The goal of healthy cooking classes is to equip participants with the knowledge and ability to create tasty, nutritious meals in your own home. Registration is required. Member and non-member rates apply.

  • Risotto and Truffles
    Tuesday, February 20, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
    Warm up with a piping hot bowl of homemade risotto, followed by hand-rolled, decadently creamy, dark chocolate truffles. Watch and learn how to make these two easy, yet often intimidating, dishes.
    Cost: members $20, non-members $25
  • Make It, Take It: Heart-Healthy Seasonings and Dressings
    Tuesday, March 6, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
    During this hands-on cooking class, learn to prepare three salt-free seasoning blends and two salt-free salad dressings. Bring an apron and two jars for the salad dressings!
    Cost: members $25, non-members $30
