
Bronson Hospitals in Van Buren County Receive 2024 Governor’s Award of Excellence
Bronson LakeView Hospital in Paw Paw and Bronson South Haven Hospital are proud recipients of the 2024 Governor’s Award of Excellence. This distinguished award was offered through a collaboration of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, iMPROve Health and the Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA) Keystone Center. The award criteria were aligned with the healthcare objectives of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Bronson LakeView and Bronson South Haven were both recognized for reducing Adverse Drug Events: High-Dose Opioid Prescribing Upon Discharge. Bronson South Haven received additional recognition for Reducing Readmissions.
“I am very proud of the work we’ve done to achieve this award. Our patient care teams are committed to providing those in Van Buren County with the best care possible,” says Anne Wendling, MSN, RN, Vice President of Patient Care Service and Chief Nursing Officer at Bronson LakeView and Bronson South Haven hospitals. “I am very proud of the work we’ve done to achieve the Governor’s Award of Excellence. Our efforts to earn this award will result in better outcomes for our patients. This is work we do continuously behind the scenes every day. Today, we were recognized for it.”
The Governor’s Award of Excellence started in 2003 in partnership with iMPROve Health and Gov. Engler. The award recognizes providers that focus on improving some of Michigan’s most pressing health issues.
