$32,500 Raised to Support Cancer Care
Through the generosity of golfers and sponsors, 2017 was a record setting year for the annual Feldpausch Foundation Golf Outing. More than $32,500 was raised to support pediatric and adult cancer patients. The Feldpausch Foundation covers all the expenses for the golf outing, so all donations go directly to support cancer care funds through the Bronson Health Foundation.
Since the event first started ten years ago, a total of $226,000 has been donated in support of patients undergoing cancer care. The Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Fund helps assist those who need help paying for medications, transportation, nourishment, durable medical equipment and other cancer care items. This year, the funds will also be used to help young patients being treated at Bronson Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Clinic.
“We are so grateful to the golfers and sponsors who have been willing to reach out over the last ten years and show patients with cancer that the community is here to support them,” says Corey LaGro, Feldpausch Foundation board member and golf outing coordinator. “It is the mission of the Feldpausch Foundation to share our family’s spirit of caring by helping to make the lives of individuals and families better. Extending our reach to include children’s hospital patients helps us further fulfill that mission.”
“The Feldpausch Foundation has been steadfast in its commitment to positively impacting the lives of those facing challenging times,” says Terry Morrow, vice president of development and community health at Bronson. “It is our privilege to have them as a partner.”
