Barbara James Appointed Chair of Bronson Board of Directors - Bronson Healthcare

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Bronson Healthcare Group Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Barbara James, managing member of the Kalamazoo accounting firm of James & Springgate, PLC, to a 5-year term as board chair. She succeeds Randall Eberts, Ph.D, executive director of the W.E. Upjohn Institute, whose service continues as vice chair.

James has been a member of the Bronson Board of Directors since 2000 during which time she has chaired the audit committee and been a member of the finance and executive committees.

Bronson Healthcare Group is a locally governed, non-profit healthcare system serving all of southwest Michigan. In 2005, Bronson Methodist Hospital received the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the nation's highest presidential honor for quality and organizational performance excellence. In 2009, the hospital received the AHA McKesson Quest for Quality Prize which is awarded annually to only one U.S. hospital, and joined the top five percent of hospitals in the nation to be designated a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence.
