BMH Again in Top 10% for Patient Experience

2019 Patient Experience AwardFor an eleventh year in a row, Bronson Methodist Hospital is a recipient of the Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award. This distinction recognizes BMH for being among the top 10 percent of hospitals nationwide for patient experience, according to Healthgrades, the leading online resource for information about physicians and hospitals.

Healthgrades evaluated 3,449 hospitals that submitted at least 100 patient experience surveys to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services from January 2017 through December 2017.  Of the hospitals evaluated, 434 outperformed their peers—based on patients’ responses to survey questions about the care they received while in the hospital. Scores were derived from 9 patient experience measures including cleanliness and noise levels in patient rooms, physician and nurse communication, and whether a patient would recommend the hospital to friends or family
