Bronson Accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers

The National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a quality program administered by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), has granted accredited status to the Bronson Breast Health Center Program at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo and Bronson Battle Creek in Battle Creek. The Program achieved this voluntary accreditation by demonstrating compliance with the NAPBC standards with their leadership, clinical services, research, community outreach, professional education and quality improvement for patients. This NAPBC accreditation is for 2021-2024.

Randy Mudge, MD, Radiation Oncologist at the Bronson Cancer Center in Battle Creek and Physician in Chief of Oncology Services for the Bronson Healthcare system, says “Earning NAPBC accreditation is a significant achievement and assures our patients of the high level of care we provide at Bronson for those with a breast cancer diagnosis. We are the only healthcare organization to achieve NAPBC accreditation in Kalamazoo and Calhoun counties, which is a true testament to the talented team we have and their engagement in providing exceptional care to every patient in our breast cancer program.”
