Bronson Methodist Hospital announces that in 2010, there were 3,293 babies born at the Bronson BirthPlace, southwest Michigan’s largest and most advanced birthing center. The most popular names of the year for babies born at Bronson were:
2010 Top Boys’ Names
2010 Top Girls’ Names
In 2009, the top three boys’ names were Aiden, Ethan and Jacob; the top three girls’ names were Olivia, Ava and Emma (Sophia was ranked tenth).
In addition to providing birthing services at the Bronson BirthPlace, Bronson Methodist Hospital is southwest Michigan’s only Perinatal Center, providing the highest level of care for women experiencing high-risk pregnancies. For premature or critically ill infants, Bronson provides care in the region’s only Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Bronson is a member of NACHRI, the National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions. This makes it one of a select number of places in the country where infants and children can get the best care possible, from experts in virtually every field of children's medicine. Bronson is one of only six children’s hospitals in Michigan, and the only one in southwest Michigan. Serving more than 40,000 children annually, The Children’s Hospital at Bronson provides care to all patients, regardless of ability to pay and is the largest Medicaid provider outside of Southeast Michigan.
