Bronson at Home Offers Home Delivery of Medical Supplies & Oxygen Retail Store Will Close November 1
BATTLE CREEK, MICH. – Due to recent changes in insurance reimbursement programs, Bronson at Home will be closing its retail store for oxygen and medical supplies on November 1, 2016, and will instead offer home delivery service.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and other insurance companies have made many changes impacting the durable medical equipment industry. It negatively affects payment to suppliers of durable medical equipment and is causing many durable medical equipment companies to go out of business across the country.
Bronson at Home has found a patient-friendly solution. Staff currently employed at the retail store to coordinate prescriptions and supplies will switch to home delivery. “This is a positive change for patients and offers much more convenience,” says Amy Barnes, vice president of Bronson at Home. “Now, patients’ medical equipment and oxygen will be delivered directly to their homes. And patients will have better access to the supplies they need.”
Supplies will be stored at Bronson at Home’s location at 165 N. Washington Ave. in Battle Creek and delivered from there. Sleep therapy (PAP) equipment will still be available for purchase at the Bronson at Home site located at 5161 B Drive South in Battle Creek.
Contact Bronson at Home at (269) 245-3602 for additional information or for assistance in obtaining medical supplies and oxygen. Bronson at Home will continue to serve 12 counties across southwest and south central Michigan.
