Bronson at Home Presents “Conversations Before the Crisis”
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Bronson at Home is proud to present “Conversations Before the Crisis.” The free presentation will provide guidance on planning for end-of-life discussions, the importance of having an advanced directive and an overview of hospice care. The lunch and learn will be held on Tuesday, May 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kool Family Community Center in Battle Creek.
“Ninety percent of people say that talking with loved ones about end-of-life is important, yet only 27 percent have actually done so,” says Christina Shivley, manager of hospice services at Bronson at Home. “The goal of this event is to equip attendees with conversational techniques and take-home tools to help them prepare for vital life decisions well before they have to."
A Q&A session will follow the presentation. Staff will also be available to help guests fill out their advanced directives at the event. This is a free event and lunch will be provided. Seats are limited and registration is required. Register online or call (800) 451-6310. If you have questions, call (269) 441-0948.
