Bronson Battle Creek will host a free program on Thursday, April 17 to provide information about treatment options for hip and knee pain.

Joseph Burkhardt, MD, a board certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, will present New Knees, Happy Hips at the Richland Area Community Center, 9400 East CD Ave., Richland, Mich., from 6 to 7 p.m.

Attendees will learn about the causes of hip and knee pain and explore various treatment options to provide long-term pain relief. Hip and knee pain can be caused by osteoarthritis, which wears away cartilage causing two bones to rub against each other. When this happens, the joint becomes pitted and uneven. The result is pain and stiffness and it can limit one’s ability to move.

Registration is encouraged, but not mandatory. Call (800) 451-6310 or visit bronsonhealth.com/classes.
