Bronson Battle Creek Outpatient Pharmacy Moving to a ‘New’ Floor

May 06, 2013

The Bronson Battle Creek Outpatient Pharmacy is moving … downstairs to Suite 111 on the first floor of the Medical Office Building, on the hospital’s campus effective Monday, May 13.  The pharmacy hours continue weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

“The major reason for this move is customer convenience,” said Shaun W. Phillips, PharmD, assistant vice president of diagnostic & therapy services at Bronson Battle Creek.  “With more ‘walk-in’ customers, we felt it important to re-locate our department to the ground floor to make accessing our services as user-friendly as possible.

“Speaking of service, one additional feature that we will be offering beginning this summer is a drive-up window so our patients and staff can pickup their medications and supplies from their vehicles.  It is all about customer service.”

The new BBC Outpatient Pharmacy will have a larger ‘footprint’ in terms of square footage.  It will include expanded over-the-counter offerings for cold and first aid supplies, products for hair care and vitamins, and more extensive cancer and diabetic products.

“We will also have a counseling room where we can assist our customers in how to use injectable medications, testing procedures for blood glucose measurements on diabetic meters, and follow-up blood pressure screenings,” added Danyel Bruski, RPh, lead retail pharmacist at Bronson Battle Creek.  “Taking time to help patients one-on-one is an important part of our jobs.”
