Bronson Cancer Centers to Offer Free Prostate Exams in September

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and Bronson Cancer Centers in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo are providing free prostate exams and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood draws to community members who:

  • Are ages 55-80 (or, as young as age 40 if you have a family history of prostate cancer)
  • Have limited access to healthcare and are at risk for developing prostate cancer

According to the American Cancer Society Cancer Facts & Figures 2023, prostate cancer is the second most common cancer among people assigned male at birth and one in nine men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. The good news is that with early detection, it can often be treated successfully. The easiest way to diagnose prostate cancer is through a prostate exam.

If you or someone you know meet the criteria above, register for one of the free events that will take place at the Bronson Cancer Center in Kalamazoo or Battle Creek on the days and times below; registration is required.

NOTE: As of August 29, registration is full for both events.
