Bronson Commons Again Named Best Nursing Home by U.S. News & World Report

Bronson Commons is honored to receive the Best Nursing Home 2015 distinction by U.S. News & World Report. Almost 16,000 nursing homes nationwide were rated, but only about 28 percent in Michigan received a five-star overall performance rating by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

“I am proud of our staff as this recognition demonstrates the exceptional care they deliver to our patients, residents and their families,” says Laura Hamann, executive director of Bronson Commons. “Our commitment to consistently providing the highest level of care is reflected in receiving both the five-star rating and Best Nursing Home designation for the last three years.”

Bronson Commons is an all-private room facility specializing in short-term nursing care and rehabilitation for adult patients following illness, injury or hospitalization. There is also a unit devoted to long-term care in a secure, homelike environment. It is situated on 35 acres in a quiet, natural setting at 23332 Red Arrow Highway in Mattawan.

Services include: rehabilitation with physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, central line care, dietetics, IV management, chronic disease management, wound care, hearing, podiatry, dental and optical. Private insurance plans, as well as Medicare and Medicaid, are accepted.
