Bronson Commons, the new post-acute care and rehabilitation center in Mattawan, welcomes Martin Hoffmann, MD, as its new medical director. Dr. Hoffmann received his medical degree from Johannes-Gutenberg University, Germany and did his residency in family medicine at St. Joseph Hospital, Flint, Mich. He is board certified in family medicine and has more than 30 years of experience. Most recently, he was a family doctor at Bronson LakeView Family Care – Mattawan.
As medical director, Dr. Hoffmann will lead a multidisciplinary team that helps patients bridge the transition between hospital and home. Bronson Commons specializes in short-term nursing care and rehabilitation for adult patients following illness, injury or hospitalization. It also has a unit that provides long-term care in a secure, homelike environment. Bronson Commons has 100 all-private rooms, a state-of -the art rehabilitation area, and amenities such as outdoor gardens, a large central café and free Wi-Fi. The facility is situated on 35 acres in a quiet, natural setting at 23332 Red Arrow Highway in Mattawan.
