Bronson FastCare Opens in South Haven on August 1
On Wednesday, August 1, Bronson Healthcare will open its third Bronson FastCare location. The walk in-clinic will be located across the street from Bronson South Haven Hospital at 970 S. Bailey Ave. in the office suite previously occupied by Bronson Urgent Care. The public is invited to come in for a tour and learn about the services provided by Bronson FastCare at a grand opening celebration on Tuesday, August 7, from 3 to 7 p.m.
“We could not be more pleased to bring Bronson FastCare to the lakeshore,” says Kirk Richardson, Bronson South Haven Chief Operating Officer. “There has been a very positive community response to the Bronson FastCare locations in Kalamazoo and Portage, and we are certain that this quick, convenient and affordable service will be well received and meet many people’s needs here in South Haven.”
Bronson FastCare provides access to care without an appointment for minor conditions and symptoms such as sore throats, fevers, flu, ear and sinus infections, pink eye, skin rashes and allergies. Lab services are available for pregnancy tests, mononucleosis tests, rapid strep and urinalysis. Pre-participation sports physicals for student athletes are also provided. Patients who have urgent or emergent healthcare needs should not go to Bronson FastCare. Instead, they should go directly to the Bronson South Haven emergency department.
Bronson FastCare is a cost-effective care option. It accepts most insurance plans and honors the office visit co-pay determined by the patient’s insurance company. For those with a high deductible plan or no insurance, a visit is only $69, including basic lab services. Like other Bronson services, each patient’s care is recorded in Bronson’s systemwide electronic health record where it is readily accessible by the patient’s other providers and can be accessed online by the patient through Bronson MyChart.
Bronson FastCare in South Haven will be open days, evenings and on the weekend. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The last patient is seen 15 minutes prior to close. The office is closed briefly between 2 to 2:30 p.m. for lunch (time may vary). Holiday hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the office is closed on Christmas day.
