In recognition of Men’s Health Month in June, Bronson Healthcare will host “Men’s Health Matters,” a free community health event focused on education, screenings and open conversation to encourage men to prioritize their health and wellness.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Urban Alliance at 1009 E. Stockbridge Avenue. Breakfast will be served beginning at 10:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is recommended but not required.
Men ages 18 and older are the primary audience for the event; however, women and families are welcome to attend. Health screenings will be available for attendees 18 years and older.
Bronson is leading the event in partnership with Fatherhood Network, Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine, and Urban Alliance, bringing together healthcare providers and community organizations to make trusted health information accessible in a welcoming setting.
“Men’s Health Matters is about showing up for our neighbors right here in the Edison area and surrounding community,” said Stacy Shern of Bronson Community Health and event organizer. “By bringing health education, screenings and real conversations directly into the neighborhood, we’re making it easier for men to get the information and support they need to take care of themselves and their families.”
